About us

The Ann Stringer Design Group is a San Francisco area firm specializing in marketing, branding, communications, web design, corporate identity and graphic design services for growing businesses competing in international and domestic markets. Our firm was founded in 1997 by Ann Stringer and Douglas Dominic, whose combined experience in design, corporate communications, and software development totals nearly four decades.

Our client list demonstrates how we’ve worked for a broad and diverse spectrum of clients ranging from startups to multinational accounts. Through providing them with exceptional service, we also built an impressive reputation for producing strategically market-focused online campaigns and printed materials. Projects designed for markets in the United States, Europe, Japan and India have included websites, banner ads and site promotion; corporate and product names, logos and identity systems; packaging; brand design and strategy; and marketing collateral including sales literature, direct mail campaigns, point-of-sale promotional materials and product data sheets.

Principal's Training

Ann Stringer holds two degrees in visual communication. After graduating with honors as well as considerable graduate level work from the acclaimed School of Communications at Northwestern University, she earned a degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. U. S. News and World Report recently ranked SAIC as the #1 fine arts program in the nation.

Douglas Dominic studied computer science at Stanford University after graduating in the top 1% of his business school class at the University of Illinois, Urbana, site of most of the research leading to the first Mosaic and Netscape web browsers, the Eudora electronic mail program and the Apache web server.
